CATS裡除了開頭序曲外的第二首歌，"The naming of cats"。很沉悶的一段，特別是對第一次看貓劇的人來說，怕悶著我會建議跳過它（老實說，怕悶著我會建議不要選幾乎是沒劇情的貓劇看XD）。事實上這並不是一首歌，在貓劇裡，它是以唸唱、朗誦的方式唸完全部的。沒有旋律，沒有舞蹈，對第一次看的人大概會很悶──不過就是給貓取名字嘛？這樣也能寫成一首？
當然，要是現在我還這麼想，就不會無聊到來翻這首歌詞了。（攤手）
某天我興致來潮想看看這首一直被我跳過的曲子。結果令我意外地，它的感染力比我想像的還要強得多。我想，那是因為已經看完了整部貓劇的原因。因為看完了，所以"The naming of cats"的歌詞中，那種Jellicle Cats的傲氣自然就散發出來了。你會突然感到：啊，這才是貓啊！
不過我還是得承認，當初我看到這段時實在沉悶得想睡覺。
